An Unforgettable Bike Tour in Colombia: Jericó, Concordia, and Las Palmas
By #KindRider Sol Amos.

So, Colombia, right? It's like the promised land for cyclists, and my recent trip to the Antioquia area was seriously the coolest thing ever. Every day was a mix of jaw-dropping views, tough pedaling, and moments that I'll never forget. Oh, and guess what? We got to ride with the legendary Rigoberto Urán in Jericó. Can you believe it?
First up, let's chat about Jericó. This place is like a fairy tale with cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and coffee joints all over the place. It's so quiet and peaceful, just you, your bike, and the green mountains whispering sweet nothings. And riding with Rigo? It's like we hit the jackpot. He's full of energy, and it totally rubbed off on me. We rode some of the rolling hills around there, and it was a blast. Something I'll be smiling about for ages.
Then there's Concordia, which is like a cyclist's heaven. Coffee plantations everywhere, crazy twisty roads, and mountains that make you wanna sing or cry. The riding was intense but oh-so-worth-it. Those hills had me working hard, but the rush of flying down the other side? That's what keeps me coming back for more.
And let's not forget about Las Palmas. That climb, man, it's a beast—12 km with an average of 8% gradient. It'll have you begging for mercy. But when you get to the top, oh boy, it's like nothing else. Looking down at Medellín and those valleys, it's like you're on top of the world. Totally worth every single drop of sweat.
Massive props to KindHuman Bicycles in Toronto for keeping me and my bikes in tip-top shape. This trip would've been a drag without their help. If you're in Toronto and need a bike shop that really cares about you and your ride, swing by KindHuman Bicycles. They're the real deal.
This ride just reminded me why I love biking so much. It's all about the peeps you meet, the places you go, and the stories you create. Antioquia got something for everyone, from pro cyclists to newbies. Can't wait to get back on those Colombia roads.
Big thanks to Rigo Urán and Lucho for the epic ride in Jericó, and to KindHuman for keeping my wheels spinning. Colombia, you've stolen my heart. Catch ya on the next ride!
